Halton Cops seize street drugs

More than $123,000 worth of drugs have been seized and two men with trafficking and other drug offences have been charged by the Halton Police.
The Halton Police drug and morality unit began looking into the activities of an alleged drug trafficker early this year.

Bullard man released

The Bullard Police recently arrested Shayne Michael Roberts, 26, staying at 601 W. Tyler St., and charged him with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on March 6.
Roberts was later released from the Smith County Jail on $1,500 bond.

FDA crackdown on tainted products

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) is cracking down on manufacturers of certain weight loss, bodybuilding, and sexual enhancement supplements including potentially dangerous ingredients.
The FDA remarked some manufacturers are deceptively labeling products to hide that they contain ingredients known to cause adverse health effects.

A bill that would require Oregon police officerswho are involved in deadly force to undergo drug testing after an incident had its first reading on the floor of the Oregon Senate recently.
Under the proposed legislation, testing for anabolic steroids would be included.

Hundred marijuana plants found in West Loop House

Police recently discovered a hundred marijuana plants growing inside a house in the West Loop.
The police raid led to a charge on Ryan Vrane of Chicago for felony cannabis possession.
