Pharmacist disciplined over steroid supply

A Gold Coast pharmacist has been disciplined after admitting that he wrongfully dispensed steroids and supplied himself with restricted drugs.
Simon Andrew Booy, the pharmacist, worked behind the counter at a pharmacy in a Mermaid Beach medical centre between June, 2008 and August, 2009.

The Giants’ defensive tackle, Jimmy Kennedy, who was suspended by the NFL after he tested positive for performance enhancing drugs made a return to work.

Alex Ariza, the strength and conditioning coach of Manny Pacquiao, does not get bothered by accusations of steroid use against the Filipino boxing champion.
The coach has worked with Pacquiao for his last 8 fights in which Pacquiao held victories over Oscar de la Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito, and Shane Mosley.

Capsule and steroid containers seized

Two cartons containing 276 plastic containers of capsules and steroids have been seized by Air Customs intelligence wing at the Kochi international airport, India.
In all, 120 capsules were there in each of the plastic containers that were carried by Abdul Majeed who arrived from Sharjah.

The former doping guru, Victor Conte, has claimed that all eight 100 meter finalists at the Sydney Olympics were cheats.

According to scientists from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, individuals consuming oral steroids may be two folds likelier to have less vitamin D in their blood.

Teriparatide Becomes Preferred Drug For Osteoporosis

The anabolic agent, Teriparatide, has received a boost in status as a preferentially effective treatment for glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis in the form of a second, confirmatory, randomized double-blind trial.
The drug achieves substantially greater increases in bone mineral density compared to a bisphosphonate, according to the trial.
