Local raids target Hells Angels

After a police investigation that netted more than $5 million in narcotics recently, seven people were arrested in Cambridge.
According to a press release issued by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the operation was “targeting members and associates of (an) outlaw motorcycle gang, specifically the Hells Angels Kitchener, Ontario chapter.”

Officials of the Countryside YMCA recently asked the Warren County’s Prosecutor’s Office and the Drug Task Force to investigate hear sayings that someone was trying to push anabolic steroids to high school athletes.
After a two-year investigation, thirty-three people were indicted on nearly 250 charges involving the multi-state drug trafficking ring.

A Gold Coast pharmacist has been disciplined after admitting that he wrongfully dispensed steroids and supplied himself with restricted drugs.
Simon Andrew Booy, the pharmacist, worked behind the counter at a pharmacy in a Mermaid Beach medical centre between June, 2008 and August, 2009.

Guardia Civil seize 12,000 packets of medicines

Twelve thousand packages of medicines that were being sold illegally were seized by the Guardia Civil.
The seized contained medicines like Pollenin and Omeprazol, hormones, anabolic steroids, and other products that are yet to be identified as they had no labels or were in Chinese.

Former wrestler arrested for drug possession

Matt Hardy was charged on September 14 with drug possession following a search warrant being executed on his home in Cameron, North Carolina.
Twenty vials of Anabolic Steroids, 1 “dosage unit of MDMA” (Ecstasy), $1,961.00 as well as unnamed drug paraphernalia during the search were seized by the police.

Number of athletes on doping increased dramatically

The SA Institute for Drug-Free Sports mentioned in its annual report that the number of South African athletes taking performance enhancing drugs has increased by 178 percent in a year.
According to the report, 51 (2.2 percent) of the 2308 athletes tested between April and March tested positive for drugs use.

Wilson to contest drug charge

Bernice Wilson, the 27-year-old sprinter, has been suspended by UK Athletics following a sample provided at the Bedford International Games last month.
